We are so excited to premiere EDGAR ALLAN & EDDIE POE as a full evening of theater in New York City,
at Torn Page on March 17th- April 4th, 2020.
Eleven-year-old Edgar Allan has one goal: to be the most remarkable student at English boarding school.
He has one obstacle: another student named Edgar Allan.
EDGAR ALLAN & EDDIE POE is a two person, minimalist musical created with ukulele, coronet, violin and banjo. An adaptation of the Poe short story William Wilson, it follows Edgar Allan Poe from his grammar school days to his only semester at the University of Virginia, as he is relentlessly haunted by this doppelgänger bearing his name. EDGAR ALLAN & EDDIE POE is a dark, comedic riff on the obsessions, the mania, and the insanity that haunted the life and work of America’s first professional writer.
